YAKIMA, May 3—A long double by first baseman Bob McLean in the eleventh inning tonight scored Orrin Snyder and gave the Vancouver Capilanos an 8-7 victory over the Yakima Bears in the Western International League.
It was Vancouver's first victory on the road this season and squared their series with the Bears at a game apiece.
Snyder had reached first base on a pass by relief pitch Dick Drilling. McLean tried twice to bunt, and then with Snyder on the move, poled a long drive into the centrefield fence. Snyder trotted home to break up the ball game.
Caps came close to blowing the game in the last of the ninth as the Bears scored once to even the game at 7-7 but the home rally came up short as Carl Gunnarson put out the fire. He had relieved Vern Kindsfather in the fourth during a three-run Yak attack.

An error and hits by Keeler, Buccola, Frank Finnegan and Dick Morgan accounted for the second three-run cluster.
