WENATCHEE, June 5—Jim Propst hurled a three hitter and stopped Hal Rhyne's hitting streak at 36 games as the Victoria Athletics blanked the Wenatchee Chiefs 5-0 in the first game of a Sunday double-header.
Rhyne's batting average has been cooled off as well by 28 percentage points. He still leads the league with a .503 average.

SPOKANE, June 6—The Spokane Indians took two Sunday games from the second place team in the Western International League, defeating the Vancouver Capilanos 9-4 and 3-1.
Ken Richardson smacked a three-run homer in the fifth inning of the opener, when the Indians put up five six. George Valine a two-run triple, Jack Parks a two-run single and Tuck Stainback had three hits for the winners.
In the second game, Bob Costello lost despite throwing a six-hitter, walking three and striking out 11. He allowed two doubles and a triple and also sent in a run on a wild pitch.
Stainback had two doubles and two RBIs for Spokane. Vancouver's run came in the second when Orrin Snyder doubled in Ray Tran who doubled. The Caps left 12 on base.
The Spokane winning streak is reflected at the box ofice as per 5,000 fans turned out for the Sunday night game after 4,646 had turned out for the Sabbath matinee.
