VICTORIA, May 7—The Bremerton Bluejackets pounded Frank Logue early and hard to even the current series with the Victoria Athletics at a game apiece with a 7-3 victory.
Logue went out under fire in the third inning to take his third setback of the season. He has yet to win.
The feature of the game was a triple play turned in by the A's in the fifth inning. Lou Briganti slapped a line drive at Gil McDougald with the bases loaded. The Victoria second baseman made a leaping catch, touched the runner coming in to second, and then threw to shortstop Bob Keeler, covering second, to get Allen for the side-retiring out. The unfortunate Briganti also hit
into two double-plays.
Bill Taylor, hard-hitting Bremerton outfielder, clouted a 390-foot triple to keep his record of having hit safely in every game this season. Frank Finnegan hit his second home run in two nights for the A's in the sixth inning.
