Caps Switch Players
VANCOUVER, April 28—Vancouver Capilanos lost an infielder and gained their needed centre-fielder this week when Seattle Rainiers made two players shifts. Shortstop Buddy Hjelmaa, who had been playing third base for the Caps, was sent to Scranton of the Class "A" Eastern League. In his place the Brownies are receiving Eddie Fernandez, an outfielder belonging to the Boston Red Sox.
Fernandez, who hit .347 for El Paso last year, is being flown West and will join his new club in Salem, permitting Third Baseman Jimmy Robinson, who has been playing centre-field, to return to his regular berth.
